History
UADC has been serving
the Madison area since 1967. The beliefs and values that founded
this non-profit day care are alive and well to this day. They continue to
serve the Madison community and work as a member
in it while always, "Putting Children First."
Facilities
We lease our
facilities from the First Congregational
Church. This organization and historic building have been a part
of the Madison community for many years. Although we lease our facilities from the church, UADC has no religious affiliations.
Classrooms
at UADC are spacious and filled with a loving, creative, learning
environment appropriate for the age group which occupies them. Computers
are accompanied by fun and educational software.
We have updated our playground with some new equipment. The children enjoy
spending their outside time playing games, running and climbing. Often the
kids will hike to one of the nearby parks and recreational facilities that
enhance our location so wonderfully. A large gymnasium, known as "the
running room," allows the children a wonderful playspace
during inclement weather.
The kitchen and cafeteria facilities are utilized to provide the children
with hot meals and nutritious snacks! UADC children
practice table manners and respect for their fellow diners.
Statement
of Purpose
UADC provides an
individualized, developmentally-appropriate environment and program for
children aged 2 years 9 months through 9 years. UADC staff act as resources
and support for families of enrolled children. UADC is dedicated to
retaining highly professional staff to deliver these services, to creating
a responsive work climate that fosters staff retention and professional
growth, and to providing ample resources to meet these goals. UADC operates
in strict compliance with all day care licensing rules of the state of Wisconsin and certification standards of
the National Association for the Education of Young Children.
Credentials
UADC is licensed by the
